Brutal Beauty: The Transformation of Women in Mythology

Brutal Beauty is the first exhibition I worked on in my fellowship at the gallery. I had to balance the aesthetics of the art, on top of the artist, as well. This is the first catalog that I did. Martha Posner and her husband, Larry Fink are two prolific artists, so it was a unique experience working with clients that already have a really good understanding of design. They both had a very specific vision for the show's printed materials (right down to the production of the catalog), so incorporating their thoughts and criticisms, as well enlisting the help of a very knowledgeable print vendor, was essential.
